Rice Village Photomarathon Winners!
The winners of the Rice Village Photomarathon have been chosen. The following were the winners of the day:
Upside Down – Amanda Duran’s photograph of the upside down glasses on the shelf. This photograph was chosen based on the colors and framing which make this photo a memorable photograph.
Before & After – Collin McGinn’s photograph of the Juicy Fruit gum package. This photograph is creatively framed in black and it has a simple subject matter but clearly captures the theme.
City Life – Greta Mee’s photograph of the window with the bullet hole. This photograph was creatively composed to abstractly illustrate an attribute of city life.
Caught in the Act – Ashley Mauer’s photograph of the man kneeling while smoking a cigarette – this is a well framed portrait
To choose the overall winner in each of the photomarathons, we have chosen the picture that most immediately captured our attention. While it might be because of the shameless wearing of the photomarathon t-shirt, the picture that most immediately caught our attention was the one taken by Robin Mauer of her daughter, Ashley, upside down standing on her hands. So, this is the overall winning photograph of the day.
